Myanmar national found deal with throat slit in Ipoh

A Myanmar national was found dead with his throat slit at a parking lot in Jalan Russel here this morning.
Passers-by found the body of the 28-year-old man at 11.45am.
Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said based on the condition of the body, the victim was believed to have been dead for more than 24 hours.
"He had a tattoo on his chest," he told Bernama.
He added that the fully-clothed body was found covered by leaves under a tree and that his was wallet was intact.
The body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here and police urge anyone with information on the case to contact the nearest police station.
In BUTTERWORTH, a scrap metal hunter died after being assaulted by two men in Kampung Musang, Bagan Dalam around 7.45pm yesterday.
Penang CID chief SAC Mazlan Kesah said L. Satiaseelan, 43, from Kampung Jawa, Butterworth, died at the scene due to serious head and body injuries.
"Preliminary investigations revealed the victim had run off with a lorry belonging to a younger brother of one of the suspects who assaulted him," he said.
The body was sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for a post-mortem and police have detained two suspects, aged 34 and 43, in connection with the case.
