MyTeksi creates job opportunities for former MAS employees

Taxi booking app, MyTeksi provides employment opportunities for 6,000 workers Malaysian Airlines (MAS) workers, who are expected to be retrenched starting June 1.

In a statement posted on its Facebook, MyTeksi welcomes all MAS employees to embark on their new careers in the company.

“Dear friends at Malaysia Airlines, during this period of uncertainty, MyTeksi would like to help out a fellow Malaysian-born brand.

“As a small gesture, we would like to invite you to join our ever-expanding family,” wrote MyTeksi on its Facebook.

It is understood that MyTeksi are hiring across the board for sales, customer service, marketing and logistic roles specifically for MAS workers who will be affected.

In fact, the two-day old statement receives a positive feedback from various quarters.

Meanwhile, Netizens also took this opportunity to praise the MyTeksi’s spirit of camaraderie.

The fate of the 20,000 MAS employees will be determined today, where the termination letters will be distributed while two-third will be offered to join the new Malaysian Airlines Bhd.
