Malaysian Crime Watch Task Force (MyWatch) chairman Datuk R. Sri Sanjeevan has been detained again by the police.
This time, his offence was the alleged use of fake academic qualifications aimed at cheating, said Bukit Aman Commercial Crime CID director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
He said Sanjeevan was detained yesterday after a company director lodged a police report saying he felt deceived by the suspect's academic qualifications.
"He had allegedly convinced a company director by claiming that he possessed two degrees from two universities in the United States.
"The victim then offered a consultant post to the suspect for the purpose of bringing business to his (the victim's) company," said Acryl Sani.
Sanjeevan will be charged in court today (Thursday), he added.
The case was being investigated under Section 417 and Section 420 of the Penal Code.
