Najib chairs National Security Council meeting

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today chaired the National Security Council (MKN) meeting at the Perdana Putra building, here.
The two-hour meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) chief General Tan Sri Zulkifeli Md Zin, former IGP Tun Hanif Omar and former MAF chief General (Rtd) Tan Sri
Mohamed Hashim Mohd Ali, among others.
Yesterday, Najib said in a statement that the meeting was to discuss the security measures that had been taken and the latest developments, including the terror attack in Jakarta, Indonesia last week.
He urged Malaysians not to speculate or spread false information which could cause public fear on the security level in the country.
