London based public-service broadcaster British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that the Conservatives won 330 seats in parliament after 649 of 650 seats declared.
The results give the party an absolute majority to form a government and Cameron has returned to Downing Street as prime minister for a second term in office.
