Najib conveys condolences to paralympian's family

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak conveyed his condolences to the family of paralympian Mohammad Azlan Mat Lazim who was killed in a road accident in Serdang Raya here today.
"My condolences to the family of Mohd Azlan Mat Lazim, who made Malaysia proud in the 2014 Incheon Asian Para Games by winning three gold medals. Al-Fatihah," he said in an update in his Facebook and Twitter account.
Mohammad Azlan, 24, who is also the Asia Para Games sprint champion, along with paralympic long jumper Farisan Jasna, 25, were riding a motorcycle to a recreational venue in conjunction with the long weekend holidays before being involved in an accident with a van.
At the Asian Para Games in October last year, Mohammad Azlan, from Kemaman, Terengganu hauled home three gold medals via the men's 100-metre sprint, 200-metre and 400-metre events in the T38 and T36 disabled categories.
Farisan, who hails from Sarawak, is a long jumper in the T37 disabled category, and won a gold medal in the 2013 SEA Games in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
He is currently being warded in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Serdang Hospital.
