Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today expressed his condolences to the family of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on the demise of his brother-in-law, Kamarulzaman Khamis yesterday.
"Condolences to @Zahid Hamidi and family on the demise of his brother-in-law, the late Kamarulzaman Khamis. May his soul be blessed," Najib said on his official Twitter account today.
Kamarulzaman, 59, died at the Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces hospital in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur at 10.59 am due to heart complications.
His remains were buried at the Kampung Solok Air Batu Muslim cemetery at about 4.15 pm yesterday.
The third among five siblings, he is survived by his wife Azaryasmin Mahat, 55, and two children, Mohamad Akhlami, 29, and Atiqah Hanani, 27.
