Najib extends condolences to Zahid Hamidi
The father of the Home Minister, Zahid Hamidi died at the Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak extended his condolences to Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on the demise of his father this evening.
"Takziah kpd Dato' Seri @Zahid_Hamidi atas pemergian ayahanda tercinta. Semoga beliau ditempatkan dlm kalangan yg beriman. Al- Fatihah (Condolences to Dato' Seri @Zahid_Hamidi on the demise of his beloved father)," said Najib on his Twitter account, @NajibRazak.
The father of the Home Minister, Hamidi Abdul Fatah, 91, died at the Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital in Wangsa Maju at 5.29pm today due to lung infection.
Ahmad Zahid, through his Twitter account, informed that his father will be buried at the Sg Nipah Darat Muslim Cemetery in Bagan Datoh, Perak, at 11am tomorrow.
As a sign of respect for his father, the wedding of his daughter tonight at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) will be replaced with a tahlil ceremony.
