Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he is placing high hopes on Wanita Barisan Nasional (BN) because he is confident their role will be important in ensuring the coalition's victory in the upcoming 13th general election.
The Prime Minister said he appreciated the contributions of Wanita BN and would reward them for their undying support and hard work for the coalition.
"Wanita BN influences and assures the public about the promises we have fulfilled and changes we have made for the country.
"They will go down to the ground, do their work earnestly and colour our political landscape blue (the clour of the BN logo)," he said when launching the "Wanita BN Blue Wave" at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here today.
Also present was Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Najib, who is also BN chairman, said Wanita BN needs to continue approaching the public as the general election was fast approaching.
"It is already clear. There is no need to wait for a signal as we are already nearing elections," he said.
He said BN had carried out various transformations to bring prosperity for the country.
"We not only make good of our promises, we will also give new hope for the country as we have a good plan and detailed agenda.
"This is why the world acknowledges and is awed by our transformation. During the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), Malaysia shone with its story of transformation.
"I didn't hear about the 'Buku Jingga' (Orange Book), it's nonsense," he added.
The Orange Book supposedly outlines the opposition's agenda for the country.
