Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has urged Muslims to appreciate the spirit of 'Nuzul al-Quran' and be united to uphold the agenda of the 'ummah'.
In a message on his Facebook page in conjunction with Nuzul Al-Quran that will be observed tomorrow, Najib invited Muslims to strategise with maturity and wisdom so that their responsibility to safeguard Islam in this world would be properly fulfilled.
He said that it was with God's grace that Muslims were able to observe the Ramadan fasting month as well as Nuzul al-Quran.
"I pray that with the blessing of Nuzul al-Quran in this holy month of Ramadan, God will unite us all. Hopefully, all our practices will be accepted by God," he said.
Najib said Malaysia, as a modern and progressive Islamic nation, always strived to bring about progress and prosperity as it best could without neglecting spiritual education as advocated by the al-Quran.
"We firmly believe that only by having quality and competitive citizens can our dream of progressing into a high-income developed nation become a reality," he said.
