KUALA LUMPUR:Pakatan Harapan (PH) has described the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme as an effort that transcends political differences and called on all parties to make it as the most important national mission.
The PH Immunisation Committee, in a statement today said state governments under PH rule as well as its members of Parliament and assemblymen would give their full cooperation and support to the Ministry of Health to ensure the success of the programme.
"The PH Immunisation Committee welcomes the government's initiative in implementing this programme.
"The success of the immunisation programme is important to revive the economy, reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection and restore people's lives," said the committee.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin when launching the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme Handbook today announced that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in the country this Sunday while the 'roll out' for implementation of the immunisation programme begins in phases from Feb 26.
The PH Immunisation Committee also hoped that its members of Parliament would be included in the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme committee to reflect the government's bipartisan effort and for the interest of the nation.
