In anticipation to the launch of the National Education Blueprint, parents are urged to play a greater role in their children’s education as well as the implementation of the Blueprint.
During a Google Hangout session with Astro AWANI, Parent Action Group of Education (PAGE) chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim said that the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) should rethink of their role in schools.
“I hope that as a result of this blueprint, parent committees will provide the check and balance to ensure the implementation of policies are done right,” she said.
Founder of Cempaka Schools Datuk Freida Pilus also said that the blueprint should be implemented properly.
“Kudos to the government that they’ve taken this leap of looking at things now as a whole and trying to do something serious about our education system. Plans are put in place then I hope it is implemented properly because sometimes in the past we have great plans but if it’s not well implemented then the whole thing collapses,” she said.
