Negeri Sembilan agrees to grant special leave for civil servants
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the leave was extended to all those working under the state civil service, statutory bodies and the local authorities.
The Negeri Sembilan government has agreed to grant special leave on Friday, July 8 for all civil servants in the state if Aidilfitri falls on July 6.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the leave was extended to all those working under the state civil service, statutory bodies and the local authorities.
"This special leave is in line with the announcement made by the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa to federal public service servants," he said in a statement.
However, Mohamad said, the special leave would not apply if Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on July 5 which is next Tuesday.
"As such, I hope civil servants in the state will take advantage of this special leave to celebrate Aidilfitri with their families and thereon give their best service when they return to work," he said.
Muslims in the country are expected to celebrate the advent of Syawal on Wednesday, July 6.
