Negeri Sembilan will decide tomorrow whether to ban the sale and use of vape in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan said the State Executive Council would meet tomorrow to decide on the matter.

The vape issue would be discussed in detail to avoid any problem after a decision has been made, he told a press conference after the state government's monthly assembly in the compound of the State Legislative Assembly here today.

"The National Fatwa Council decided that vaping is 'haram' for Muslims because it is harmful. The State Fatwa Council concurs with the decision.

"I personally feel there is no need to ban the sale of vape since some non-Muslims are also into vaping," he added.

On Dec 21, 2015, the National Fatwa Council decided that vaping was haram since it can cause more harm than good.
