The immigration officer in his police report said he had earlier came across a suspicious foreigner and followed the man to the premises as the Nepalese claimed to have left his E-card at home.
"However, as the immigration officer was about to exit the house, the foreigner punched him in the face before the two other Nepalese men joined in," he said, adding that the officer's cries for help were heard by four men who went to his rescue.
Anuar said when the officer went back to the house, he saw the three Nepalese smeared in blood and lodged a police report.
"The officer and the Nepalese trio were taken to Penang Hospital for treatment," he said.
