A movement apparently initiated by the underground scene is rallying for support for a campaign called #HomophobicMalaya. It is a movement against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
The first tweet was uploaded on November 20 by a Twitter user known as Masmona (@MaslianaKizuna). The tweet which included a poster of the movement, received 763 retweets and 185 ‘Favorite’.
Malaysia’s Twitter timeline was abuzz with this movement, with many condemning it as a publicity stunt. Some also expressed their lack of support for the skinhead and metal groups.
