Netizens are divided over the new uniform for Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) staff, which will be given a makeover by Farah Khan brand.
On Tuesday, MAB announced a strategic partnership with the brand that will re-energise the design aesthetic of the iconic kebaya and other uniforms.
The Farah Khan brand, founded by its creative director Datuk Seri Farah Khan is known for its sequin dresses and worn by international celebrities.
“The new uniform will be fabulous… full of sequins,” said Abu Hurairah on Twitter.
Asyraf Bahrul said it is time for the crew to get new uniforms.
However, not all agreed with the collaboration.
Some had pointed out that the most important aspect for the company right now is to overcome its financial problems and to improve its services for the benefit of its passengers.
Malaysia Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Paul Simmon said the partnership will involve the uniforms of various departments.
“With this collaboration, we look forward to taking this a step further, creating a fashionable and functional new collection,” he said in a statement.
