Netizens offer their 'theories' on the root cause of Bukit Bintang sinkhole

As the mystery deepens, literally and figuratively, into the real cause of the massive soil erosion that hit Bukit Bintang on Wednesday, netizens came out with theories of their own, throwing social media websites in a spin.

Among the usual suspects were Godzilla and King Kong emerging from the pits, while others say, the area was the place where Optimus Prime and Megatron were said to have landed on earth.

Godzilla was said to have wrecked havoc at Bukit Bintang.

King Kong as seen emerging from the pits, the location where the sinkhole appeared at Bukit Bintang.

Others claimed the location was where Optimus Prime landed on earth.

Half-Gods were also not spared where Thor and his step-brother, Loki were seen being interviewed by a police personnel.

Marvel's Asgardians Thor and Loki, popularly depicted by actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston respectively were not spared from the Photoshop skills of netizens.

If there is any truth to these images, that have spread like wildfire on social media websites, clearly an epic battle must have taken place at Malaysia’s Golden Triangle area, maybe caused by constant traffic jams in the area.

However, what puzzles the mind, is how a giant chicken wearing a red-and-white suit or a baby hippo is involved in all this chaos.
