A WOMAN'S sexual harassment ordeal on the light rapid transit (LRT) has triggered calls from netizens to introduce women-only coaches.
Syima Mohamad, on a Facebook status uploaded on Nov 8, claimed she was sexual harassed on a moving, packed train.
During the incident, Syima said she screamed to get attention and help but none of the fellow passengers came to her aid.
Syima shared her horrifying experience on Facebook.

Her post, which has been shared more than 2,000 times, sparked anger among netizens who urged RapidKL to take proactive measures to ensure the incident will not happen again.
Among the recommendation is to introduce women-only coaches, like what Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM) did for its commuter train service some six years back.
Netizens also suggested that RapidKL increase its train frequencies, especially during peak hours.
This is because sexual harassment incidents tend to take place in crowded coaches.
People are also advised not to ignore any cry for help and to be more aware of people in need.
