A newborn baby boy was found abandoned at a bus stop at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) here today.
A security guard at the hospital, Mohd Nor Samsu, 56, who was on patrol duty in the area, found the baby at the bus stop at 6.10 am and reported the matter to the police.
The baby, wrapped in a yellow towel, was left on the cement at the bus stop," he told Bernama.
Meanwhile, Kota Setar police chief ACP Mohd Rozi Jidin, who confirmed the matter, said police believed the baby was born at the place where it was found.
