News: BMW's Sporty ambitions for the 320

Not to be confused with the BMW 320i Sport variant, this new addition to the 3-series family is designed to push the visual envelope even further with subtle but stylish upgrades to further its enhance athletic demeanour and stance. Introducing the BMW 320i Sports Edition, but what makes this car different from the others within an ever growing BMW vehicle line-up?

Well for starters, the 320i Sports Edition sports gorgeous 18-inch double-spoke light- alloy wheels on the outside. The BMW 320i Sports Edition also sports suave exterior elements such the signature kidney grille, air inlets and tailpipe trim now draped in high-gloss black to further accentuate the car’s aggressive styling premise.

While on the inside, buyers will now enjoy the familiar sporty and comfortable leather seats and three-spoke steering wheel highlighted by red contrast stitching to get the drivers into the mood. All BMW 320i Sport Editions will receive premium Dakota Leather as standard in two colour options to further enhance the interior ambience.

The 320i Sport Edition is powered by the firm’s 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo produces a zesty 184bhp which endows the car with a century sprint time of 7.6 seconds. The twin-scroll turbocharged engine, equipped with Valvetronic and Double VANOS is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox to provide seamless gearchanges and quick response to every discerning owner behind the wheel. The 320i might have venerable performance figures but it’s also frugal and eco-friendly, only consuming a claimed 6.0l/100km while emitting a modest 141g/km CO2.

Efficiency and power is made possible due to BMW 320i Sport Edition’s EfficientDynamics technologies. In ECO PRO mode, the car will employ Brake Energy Regeneration and Auto Start/Stop technologies in an effort to provide the most amount of driving joy for every drop of fuel.

Owners will also enjoy a torrent of in-car connectivity through the BMW ConnectedDrive which harmonizes USB and Bluetooth input into the entertainment experience. The sublime soundtracks will be beamed through a 205-Watt amplifier and nine loudspeakers. All 320i Sport Editions will also receive a Navigation system beaming important information through a 6.5-inch display which crowns the dashboard.
