Vehicles manufactured before 14 March 2008 may be affected. By Chris Ng
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has recently announced the ‘Field Fix Campaign’ for 2,083 of the company’s vehicles sold in Malaysia. The vehicles involved were those that were manufactured before 14 March 2008, which includes Airtrek, Colt, Lancer, Lancer Evolution, Grandis and Outlander.
In this campaign, Mitsubishi Malaysia checked the light switches and, when necessary, replaced the affected parts. The company explained that the cracks could occur on the structure of the printed circuit board of lighting, which could cause turn signals and headlamps to malfunction over time.
Mitsubishi had issued notification letters to affected owners; the full cost was borne by the company. The entire inspection and repair process took about an hour.
More information can be had on their website or their Customer Careline (1-800-18-6611). Best to get your Mitsubishi checked, isn’t it?
