News: The reality series for the brave of heart

Celebrities pair up with nine adventurous Malaysians to take on the jungles of Perak in an Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. By Arvind Kumar

Isuzu Malaysia recently teamed up three celebrities and nine intrepid Malaysians to create a first-of-its-kind off-road adventure reality series that will air in webisodes on Youtube starting 4th November. Dubbed the Isuzu V-Cross Adventure, the program promises action-packed four-wheeled action for the average-Joe against the elements of the Ulu Slim and Teratak Riverview jungles of Perak.

Participants were chosen through an extensive audition process via the website, roadshows and through Fly FM recruitment channels. In the end, nine individuals were teamed up with celebrities Ben and Hafiz from Fly FM and local actress Diana Danielle to form six teams of two to take on the various challenges set by Isuzu Malaysia.

Participants will have to pit their driving skills, team strategies and mental strength against the best Mother Nature can throw at them such as muddy terrain, unnerving slippery slopes and river crossings. The final challenge will include a time-attack stage that will test the planning, communication between drivers, trust in each other and of course trust in the formidable Isuzu D-Max V-Cross’ abilities.

Equipped with durable 4x4 underpinnings, class leading fuel efficiency and punchy 3.0-litre power, the D-Max V-Cross will prove to be the participant’s ultimate ally in tackling the gruelling campaign. The event was held from the 10th to the 13th of October with the webisodes airing shortly after that.
