Stern action should be taken against the organisers, supervisors and participants over a nude incident at a motivational programme last Saturday at a resort in Bentong, Pahang.
The call was made by eight non-governmental organisations including Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia (IRIMM), Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibah (MJMM), Gabungan Ayahanda Selangor (Gegas), Akhlak Rahsia Cekal (ARC) and Gerakan Reformasi Rakyat Malaysia (Reformis).
IRIMM president, Amir Amsaa Alla Pitchay said going nude during such a programme could tarnish the country's image and corrupt the morals of the local community.
"Going nude was extreme behaviour by the participants involved and showed no respect for the law and the local community...stern action must be taken to prevent a recurrence of such an incident in future."
Amir Amsaa said this after lodging a report on the incident at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters, here, today.
Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the investigation papers on the incident had been completed and would be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office for further action.
In the 5.30pm incident last Saturday, 39 participants of a motivational camp went naked in playing a game called 'All Out' at the field of a resort in Bentong, Pahang.
Following that, police detained 48 people comprising the participants, nine facilitators and the company's representative at 12.30am on Sunday to assist in the investigation.
Meanwhile, Amir Amsaa also urged police to take action against an individual who through an audio posting in Tamil via WhatsApp, had insulted Islam, mocked Allah and questioned the covering of the Kaabah with black cloth.
He said the individual's action was rude, and could arouse racial sentiments and threaten peace and harmony in the country. - BERNAMA
