Nigerian student died after a fight with local

A Nigerian student died after he was allegedly beaten up by a group of men at the Jalan Batu Muda People's Housing Project, Jinjang here tonight.

A group of men was believed to have set upon Solomon Okolo, 30, and his friend after a Proton Wira car in which they were travelling in knocked into a motorcyclist in the area at about 7 pm.

The motorcyclist, who was said to have injured in the accident, has yet to lodge a police report.

Sentul police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said policemen, who were patrolling in the area, rescued the duo and brought them to the Jinjang police station to lodge a report.

"However, one of them (Solomon) collapsed on arrival at the police station and a doctor pronounced him dead at 9 pm," he added.

Solomon's body was taken the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
