A ninth Malaysian pilgrim has died in Makkah

A ninth Malaysian pilgrim has died in Makkah early this morning (Friday 11 October) . He has been named as Ahmad Anwar bin Ishak from Taman Intan, Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Ahmad Anwar, 67, passed away at 4:55am at the Tabung Haji-run Syisyah Hospital in Makkah. Doctors attribute the cost of death as fluid in the lungs due to heart complications.

He will be buried at the Syara’ek cemetery. To date, 5 male and 4 female pilgrims have died on this pilgrimage season.
