Nissan extends a reminder to customers on their Airbag Service Campaign
Edaran Tan Chong Motors today sent out a reminder to all owners of the Nissan X-Trail bought between 2002 and 2007, Nissan Teana (2004) and Liberty (2003) to bring their vehicles to be inspected at the nearest Tan Chong Express Auto Service Centre (TCEAS) outlet.
Back in June 2015, ETCM confirmed a total of 12,444 Nissan units in Malaysia are involved in its front passenger airbag inflator Service Campaign. This had prompted the company to activate their service campaign where all labour and replacement parts under the campaign will be at no cost to the owners.
As vehicle ownership may have changed over the years, ETCM encourages current owners to find out if their vehicle are involved in the campaign by calling the Customer Service Hotline or click on the owner’s tab followed by Service Campaign in their official Malaysian website. The company also urge those that have previously checked to re-validate their vehicles due to a system re-classification.
All current Nissan vehicles that are on sale are not affected by this exercise.
