Nissan Teana’s sweepstake at ANCAP

The Teana makes history with scores that wow the crowd at the latest round of ASEAN NCAP tests. By Jerrica Leong

It’s a historical record for ANCAP and for Nissan. The Teana was the first car to have achieved perfect scores all ‘round. Not only is the Teana adult safety friendly, it is also child safe.

Nissan’s flagship model raked in a 5 star rating in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and another 5 star rating in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) with 88 per cent perfect compliance in the ASEAN New car assessment program.

Although the unit used in the crash test was assembled in Thailand, the Teanas that are assembled by Tan Chong Motor Assemblies and sold in Malaysia by ETCM carries the same specifications.
