No clue yet on two missing M'sian climbers on Mt Damavand

The search for two missing Malaysian climbers on Mount Damavand in Iran, has not come up with any clue.
Expedition leader Rozaimi Md Said said 30 more rescuers would be sent to the mountain on helicopters to continue the search and rescue (SAR) operation, weather permitting.
"If the winds are strong, they will use the land route," he said when contacted on the WhatsApp application today.
He added the team would split into four groups so that the search would cover the south, west and eastern regions while the main focus of the operation would be north-east of the mountain.
Rozaimi said the focus of the SAR team would be the area higher than 4,200 metres above sea level.
If the weather was good tomorrow, he said, a helicopter would also be sent to look for the victims, adding that to date, six rescuers were on the mountain to look for the missing climbers.
"They (the rescuers) have split into two groups and are at the south and east of Mount Damavand."
The SAR operation would be continued until Monday, subject to weather conditions.
Climbers, Syed Redzuan Syed Salim Shatri, 50, and Ramli Abd Majid have been reported missing on the mountain since last Sunday after they separated from other climbers in their determination to conquer the 5,610-metre mountain. --Bernama
