The Johor government has no plans to do a reshuffle of its state executive council line up or appoint a new state executive councillor following the resignation of Datuk Abd Latif Bandi as Housing and Local Government Committee chairman.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said Mahkota assemblyman Datuk Md Jais Sarday would continue to hold the portfolio as announced when the Exco line-up was last reshuffled in March.
"The existing line-up will remain until the general election," he told reporters after opening the Muafakat Johor Fair Price Supermarket chain''s Taman Bukit Dahlia branch in Pasir Gudang near here today.
Abd Latif, who is facing corruption charges, handed in his resignation letter yesterday.
He had gone on leave in March when the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission commenced a probe on him pertaining to land and housing matters. --Bernama
