Police have confirmed that there were no fatalities in the Jabor landslide incident here.
Kemaman police chief Supt Che Suza Che Hitam said the main access road from Jabor-Jerangau to Air Puteh at Km139 now was passable following the Public Works Department having cleared the stretch which was affected by the landslide at 5pm today.
He said the landlide damaged a lorry and five sedan cars parked there due to floods in the area.
He added that the landslide happened at 3.30am today whereby a 12-metre hillslope came crashing down and blocked a 50-metre stretch of the road, where the vehicles had been parked for safety and the incident occurred following a continuous heavy rain which resulted in a soil movement in the area.
