No go for three-day Hari Raya extension leave

The Ministry of Education on Thursday has denied giving an extension of leave for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid on his Facebook page, said the festive holidays are in accordance with the school calendar, which was set earlier this year.
Words have spread throughout the social media recently, saying that there will be an extension of three days leave for this year's Aidilfitri holidays.
The letter was claimed to be sent by the Education Ministry.
The Aidilfitri school holidays was set to begin from July 3 to July 10.
