No injection mark, injury detected on Kim Jong Nam's body - Health DG

The Ministry of Health today announced that its initial investigation found no injection marks or injuries on the body of Kim Jong Nam.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah told reporters in a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, here, today.
He added that the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) also did not receive any DNA sample from the relatives of the victims.
Dr Noor Hisham said although they did not receive any DNA sample, a thorough forensic examination however had been carried out.
No heart attack
"The body has undergone a complete post-mortem examination, including Computer Tomography test, internal and external autopsy, and also forensic dental examination.
"There is no evidence showing that the victim died of a heart attack," said Dr Noor Hisham.
He added that the autopsy revealed there was no wound on the body of the victim.
Medicolegal specimen was taken and handed over to the Chemistry Department for analysis.
"Until now, we (IPFN) have yet to receive the lab report from the Department of Chemistry and we are still waiting for the report.
"The Department of Chemistry will see various issues, including whether the death was due to poison or not," he said.
No second autopsy
He further said that the analysis will help verify the identity of the victim and the cause of death.
Noor Hisham added that no second autopsy was conducted on the body of the victim.
The autopsy on Kim Jong Nam was conducted at 12:45 pm on February 15, 2017 and completed by 6.45 pm on the same day.
Jong Nam, the elder brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, died on Feb 13 on the way to the hospital.
Jong Nam was in klia2 for his flight to Macau when he was cornered by two women and believed to be smothered with a cloth said to contain poisonous liquid.
