No Malaysian was reported injured in a terrorist attack in Pakistan's Sindh province which left at least 60 people dead and injured 250 on Thursday.
In a statement Friday, Wisma Putra said the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad and the Malaysian Consulate-General in Karachi were monitoring the situation.
"The Malaysian Government is very saddened by the baseless violent acts which have taken many innocent lives and injured many others.
"The Malaysian Government hopes the parties responsible for this crime are brought to justice as soon as possible. The government also conveys its condolences and sympathy to the Pakistan Government and the families of the victims," it said.
According to media reports, at least 60 people died and 250 injured in the bombing at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, a town in the Sindh province.
According to a CNN report, the Islamic State Khorasan, an affiliate of the Daish militant group in Afghanistan and Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack. - Bernama
