'No negotiation on disengagement' - Jamalul
The Inquirer.net reported that Jamalul Kiram III has ruled out any possibilities of pulling his armed forces from Sabah.
He added that he had never authorised his younger brother Esmail Kiram II to negotiate of behalf of the sultanate.
“The truth is I don’t like him to talk to anybody. If possible, I told him to stay with me. There is no (negotiation on disengagement). I don’t like that. It’s like playing baseball. I’m already on the third base, why would I leave? Why would I go out?” Kiram was quoted on the Philippines-based portal.
When asked by the portal if he thought Esmail acted on his own, he replied, “It looks like that.”
In an earlier report, Esmail is seeking several clarifications from the Malaysian government as our forces continue to hunt down the terrorists in Lahad Datu.
The Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government of the Phillipines, Manuel Roxas II said that the Department of the Foreign Affairs will relay the questions to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
