Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said there were no police records of demonstrations held in the country since 1998 with specific demands for the Prime Minister to resign.
He said this in a written reply to a question from Ahmad Marzuk Shaary (PAS-Bachok) who wanted to know the number of demonstrators, police, locations and costs incurred for each demonstration held demanding for the PM to resign.
Since 1998, several street protests were held in the country, protesting issues like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and former Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s sacking from the government.
