State Assembly Speaker, Suhaizan Kayat reminded all Johor assemblymen to keep the order and not make any provocations in the House during the opening of the state assembly scheduled for Thursday.
At the same time, he also dismissed claims that many described Johor as one of the "hot states" and that similar incidents in Malacca would be triggered in the Johor state assembly.
Instead, he said, he was confident that the sitting would run smoothly.
He added the sitting on Thursday will be ended after the Johor Sultan, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, officiated it as there was not going to be any motions on the day.
"I do not think that (chaos) will happen, insya-Allah. The Sultan of Johor has always spoken about the attitude of the state assemblymen and stressed the order in the House.
"Every time there is a state assembly sitting, His Majesty would always bring up this reminder. So, I think everyone will take note of this, be very careful and not make any fuss," he said here today.
On Monday, the Malacca state assembly was rioted by blasphemy incidents that forced it to be postponed, believed to be following the recommendation of changing the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Meanwhile, when asked about the motion to remove him as Speaker, Suhaizan said, to date, he has not received any motion on the matter.
However, he said he was aware of the rumours.
"I did hear the information. It is proposed by the Perikatan Nasional and the members of the (federal) government, but to date no consultation has been made.
"So, I regard it as non-existent. And in fact, this SD (sworn declaration) was made outside the House.
“The decision to determine the position of Speaker or the Chief Minister must be made in the House," he said.
Earlier, rumours had surfaced that there was an attempt to collect signatures from assemblymen to oust Suhaizan.
