No transfer order has been issued to remove deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Ahmad Shazalee Abdul Kahiri from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

This statement was made in response to a recent report made by a news portal which stated that Ahmad Shazlee was given the order to be transferred out of MACC.
The portal added that the transfer had been ordered by Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali on October 14 however the letter only reached DPP Ahmad Shazalee last Friday.
When contacted by The Star on Monday Ahmad Shazalee stated that he was “shocked” over the sudden move, “I am also shocked. I am still coming to MACC, no one has told me anything about a transfer order.”
Ahmad Shazlee who is with MACC’s special operations division had been seconded to MACC to investigate former 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) subsidiary SRC International Sdn Bhd.
His secondment was to run until 2017.
He was the first of six MACC officers arrested by police, who were investigating an alleged leak of documents related to the 1MDB special task force investigation.
