The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) should be firm in its investigation into those attempting to stoke the fires on social media platforms over the country's current spat with North Korea.
In stating this, Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah (BN-Lenggong) said there were individuals or certain parties who deliberately muddied the conflict by comparing military and defence capabilities of both countries.
"Imagine, if there were a comparison that said we were using bamboo cannon while the other side (North Korea) was capable of using the nuclear weapon and so on.
"They (the irresponsible parties) should be arrested as this is not a small matter.
"I think their actions showed the intention to undermine the government's efforts to find a solution. This is a matter of honour (of the country)," he said when debating the Motion of Thanks to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in the Dewan Rakyat sitting Wednesday.
Also in agreement was Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) who asked for stern action and more rigorous observation of the MCMC towards the virtual community which always spread unverified information on the spat.
