North Korea today urged for its involvement in a joint investigation over the death of Kim Jong Nam, the brother of the country's leader, Kim Jong Un.
North Korea Ambassador in Malaysia, Kang Chol said this is because he did not believe in the investigations conducted by the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP).
"It has been seven days since the incident, but there is no clear evidence on the cause of the death and at the moment we cannot trust the investigation by the Malaysian police even though its result would be obtained,” he told media at the North Korean Embassy in Jalan Bantai, here, today.
"We had officially declared to the international community that we suggest the joint investigation on this incident for its clear clarification," he said.
Kang Chol added that its government is ready to send its attorneys if Malaysia agrees with the proposal.
