#NoSecondChance for paedophiles, netizens say

Netizens are making their voices heard with the hashtags #NoSecondChance and #keeppaedophilesawayfromourkids in the social media sphere today, in their call for Majlis Amanah Rakyat or MARA to not give child porn convict, Nur Fitri Azmeer Nordin, a second chance.
The sentiment that is being projected: not everyone is worthy of a second chance, and that consequences would be devastating if the 23-year-old MARA-sponsored student was given one.
Following the recent report on the conviction of the Malaysian math student in United Kingdom, MARA had added fuel to the flame when a board member, Nazir Hussin Akhtar Hussin, had said Nur Fitri Azmeer should be given a second chance.
He had proposed for the Imperial College London student to be given the opportunity to continue his studies at any MARA institution in Malaysia, as soon as he ends his five-year jail sentence in the UK and returns to the country.

Some even said instead of funding his studies, he should be given therapy.
Social activist, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir also took to the social media in voicing her discontent over the matter.
Nur Fitri Azmeer was was caught in possession of 601 videos and images belonging to category A (abuse involving penetrative sexual activity with children), as well as hundreds of category B and C ones.
He was charged last November.
The student who hails from Malim Nawar, Perak, had arrived in the UK last year and was pursuing a study in Mathematics.
