Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar today said the shots fired in an incident in Chaterfield, KLIA Commercial Centre in Sepang yesterday evening, was not from M16 rifles.
He said preliminary investigation found the spent shells found at the scene were of the 9MM type, believed fired from a pistol.
"Let us investigate. We will inform of any development," he told a media conference after attending the 23rd general meeting of the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) here today.

In the incident, which occurred about 8.45pm yesterday, a personal bodyguard of a businessman was seriously injured when shot by two men who were in separate cars.
The victim sustained serious injuries to the back of his right shoulder and was sent to Putrajaya Hospital for treatment and was operated on today to remove the bullets.
