The aim of the public forum was to discuss national and social matters but following Najib's no-show, talks were abuzz on social media who questioned why it (the forum) was cancelled.
As word leaked on social media, Netizens including Johor Crown Prince, General Brigadier Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim on Facebook said, he was not surprised why Najib did not attend the forum.

"How can you have a dialogue called "Nothing2Hide" featuring a person who has everything to hide? Obviously he won't show up," said Tunku Ismail.
"For those who have been entrusted with the responsibility, do not blame the people for losing confidence and trust in you, but think of why they no longer have the confidence and trust in you," he added.

Malaysian Volunteer Lawyers Association (SukaGuam) chairman Datuk Khairul Anwar Rahmat was later quoted as saying that he would get in touch with Najib to plan a new date for a public forum.
