Nov 27 set for remention of four Malaysians supporting IS

All the accused are alleged to have been supporting IS apart from becoming members of the group.
The Sepang Sessions Court today set November 27 for the case re-mention of four individuals charged with supporting the Islamic State (IS) militant group.
Registrar of the Lower Courts, Rozaidi Yaacob set the new date for Umi Kalsom Bahak, 25, retailer Rosmadi Che Daud, 42, architect Mohd Syafrein Bakar, 26, dan technician Mohamad Yusoffe Ishak, 26.
The proceeding which was to determine whether the case would be moved to the Kuala Lumpur High Court however was however postponed as Judge Aizatul Akmal Maharani was on leave.
All the accused are alleged to have been supporting IS and said to have become members of the group.
They were charged under Section 130j (1)(a) of the Penal Code which was read together with Section 511 of the same act and could be sentenced under Section 130j of the act.
The accused also face alternative charge of intenting to enter Syria through Istanbul, Turkey for the benefit of the IS group.
Deputy prosecutors Afzainizam Abdul Aziz and Shukor Abu Bakar led the prosecution team.
