SEREMBAN:The number of flood evacuees at a relief centre in Rantau here rose this evening to 84 from 17 families from 77 from 16 families in the afternoon.
Negeri Sembilan Civil Defence Force (APM) director Lt Col (PA) Fazlisyah Muslim said they were being housed at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sega Hilir and the increase involved one family from Kampung Pasir.
He said a new relief centre was opened at 3 pm to house 39 flood victims in Port Dickson.
"The centre is at Kampung Linggi Community Hall in Port Dickson which houses 39 residents of the Kompleks Pengajian Anak Yatim dan Warga Emas Darul Widad," he told Bernama tonight.
Following the unpredictable weather conditions, the decision as to whether to allow the evacuees to return home could only be made today, he added.
