Number of flood victims nationwide declines
A total of 135 victims were placed at the Dewan Taman Gemilang and 66 victims at the Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Ampar Tenang, Sepang which were opened yesterday. - Filepic
The number of flood victims placed at the evacuation centres in several states affected by the floods declined this morning compared to yesterday.
A total of 6,125 victims were placed at 93 temporary relief centres (PPS) as at 9am compared with 6,229 last night.
Pahang still recorded the most number of victims with 4,122 people from 1,115 families. However, the figure was a drop compared to the 4,344 victims from 1,154 families last night.
Meanwhile in Selangor, the number of victims rose to 206 with two new PPS opened in Sepang.
A total of 135 victims were placed at the Dewan Taman Gemilang and 66 victims at the Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Ampar Tenang, Sepang which were opened yesterday.
In Perak, the number of victims in the state as at 8am this morning remained as yesterday with the 407 victims still staying at four PPS.
In Johor, there was a drop in the number of victims from 1,473 people last night to 1,390 as at 8am this morning. -- Bernama
