The number of flood victims in Raub rose to 122 people on Monday night compared with 97 recorded in the afternoon.
Pahang Civil Defence Department (JPAM) director Zainal Yusoff said all the victims were from six villages, namely Kampung Padang Manggis, Masjid Gali, Gali Hilir, Kuala Temau, Ajai and Kuala Gali.
"Four evacuation centers were opened in the Gali Tengah community hall which houses about 56 people, the Kuala Temau mosque (21), the Kampung Pia multi-purpose hall (37) and the Kampung Kuala Gali Mini sports complex (eight).
"An evacuation centre which was opened at 7 am today in Balai Raya Kampung Tok Machang, accommodating a senior citizen was closed at 5.30 pm after the floodwaters receded," he said when contacted, here Monday night.
