Number of flood victims in Terengganu increases to 101 as at 6pm

The number of flood victims in Kemaman increased to 101 people from 24 families as at 6pm today, compared to 63 people from 17 families at noon.
Kemaman District Officer Rosman Roslan told Bernama that 56 victims from 13 families were placed at the evacuation centre in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SKM) Badrul Alam Shah, Kemasik.
Another 24 victims from five families have now been placed at the Kampung Padang Kemunting Community Hall while 21 other victims from six families have been sent to the Batu 9 Balai Raya in Ibok.
He said all parties including security agencies and the Social Welfare Department are now in a state of preparedness to face the floods as it has been raining non-stop in the district since last night. - BERNAMA
