As soon as the news of the floods in Bintulu broke, OCI TerraSus’ Chairman, Woo Hyun Lee, and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Dr. Anas Alam Faizli, worked together with the team in Bintulu to provide temporary shelters for affected employees, manage shelter support, and coordinate volunteer efforts with more than 107 employees volunteering from 30 January 2025 to 2 February 2025.
These initiatives also saw OCI TerraSus donate essential supplies to the Bintulu Resident’s Office and extend support to the Pusat Sukan BDA Kidurong Shelter, which accommodated 284 people then. The efforts also included cleaning the houses of affected employees and helping them access government assistance.
