Terengganu caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has successfully retained the Ru Rendang state seat.

The PAS vice-president defeated Pakatan Harapan's Suhaimi Sulaiman with a huge majority of over 17,286 votes.

A total of 74.75 per cent of the 32,867 registered voters in the seat cast their ballots.
